Information about Digestive Enzymes </p>
<p>Digestive Enzymes are enzymes that specifically work in the digestive system to facilitate the digestion, absorption, and transportation of nutrients. They also work to promote timely elimination of digestive waste products that are not of use to the body. Without enzymes, our cells would not get adequate nutrition and we would not survive.</p>
<p>Enzymes function as catalysts to enhance and dramatically speed up biochemical reactions that occur in every one of our cells. They are only activated in water, so staying hydrated is very important for enzymes to work effectively. Enzymes must be present to ensure proper digestion of nutrients, energy production, metabolism, transportation of fluid to cells, and elimination of toxins among many other functions.</p>
<p>Enzymes exist in foods to help our body&#8217;s breakdown what we eat. Raw, uncooked foods are the only foods that contain enzymes. Since the majority of our diets are cooked foods, we significantly limit the enzymes available in our food for digestion, thus putting more stress on our digestive systems. Some supplemental enzymes should be taken with food to enhance digestion and absorption of nutrients, whereas other supplemental enzymes should be taken on an empty stomach to support circulation, decrease inflammation, support our immune systems and combat stress. Imbalances in these factors have been scientifically proven to be associated with or the cause of numerous diseases.</p>

<p>Dr. Vincent Bellonzi is a chiropractor and is certified in Clinical Nutrition. He has been in practice for over 12 years. He received his Doctorate from Los Angeles College of Chiropractic in 1991.</p>

<p>— What simple things can we do to improve our health?</p>
<p>— As for the diet, I encourage everyone to enjoy delicious whole fruits! Fruit is great for breakfast &amp; for energy! Fruit washes the body clean, and energizes, lubricates &amp; hydrates cells!</p>
<p>— Citrus is in season during the cold months, so enjoy it when you can! Have 5-8 oranges for breakfast &amp; see how you feel! Or make a glass of fresh orange juice!</p>
<p>— Salads are full of fiber &amp; are very alkalizing for the body&#8217;s tissues! Acidosis &amp; inflammation may become a thing of the past! Think of things like celery, cucumber &amp; lettuce to make a delicious mixed green salad w/ a nice low fat salad dressing!</p>
<p>— If you focus on having raw, organic, fresh fruits &amp; vegetables + small amounts of nuts &amp; seeds as the basis of your diet you&#8217;ll be automatically avoiding so many chemicals that are present in the so-called &#8216;normal&#8217; foods of today such as soda pop, breads, NON-raw dairy products, processed carbohydrate snacks &amp; sweets. These chemicals may disrupt the function of our bodies, w/ some people ending up overweight, others w/ kidney problems, others w/ psychological problems, etc.</p>
<p>— Educate your mind on RAW, LIVING FOODS! You do NOT have to be a 100% raw foodist, but I&#8217;ve observed that the higher the % of raw, organic fruits &amp; veggies that one eats, the more energy that one&#8217;s body is going to have to FUNCTION, as well as to HEAL one&#8217;s self!</p>
<p>— Arnold &amp; others who are looking to lose some serious weight might consider getting a juicer as adding green juices to your regular diet may accelerate healthy weight loss. All of my top picks for juicers are right here http://JUICERS.life-regenerator.com</p>
<p>— Also, if there&#8217;s a juice bar near where you live and/or work, then go to it! Even I go to juice bars regularly! It&#8217;s a great way to get another fresh, healthy juice into your system throughout the day, plus it is one of the few places that you can socialize where you won&#8217;t be made fun of for turning into a health nut! <img src='http://slimufast.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_biggrin.gif' alt=':D' class='wp-smiley' /> </p>
<p>— The green juices are going to alkalize, hydrate &amp; cleanse out all the old inflamed cells of the body! Try to have at least a juice a day! On the side of the healing, aim closer to the green juices w/ some of the more bitter, healing herbs &amp; leafy greens in them such as dandelion greens, nettles, celery, kale, cilantro, etc.</p>
<p>— WALKING is important! WALKING IS THE #1 TONER of your BODY &amp; all of its organs &amp; tissues! Also for your mind it helps to process things! There is nothing like going out for a walk to breathe fresh air in &amp; get your heart pumping! I find the healing benefits of walking ALONE to be really great! But walks w/ a partner are great too! Krista &amp; I each do our own solo walks, plus do walks together!</p>
<p>— When you wake up in the morning, a great habit to acquire is to first have a glass of fresh spring water w/ a lemon squeezed into it, which helps to flush out everything thru the kidneys &amp; colon from the night before.</p>
<p>— Move towards whole, organic &amp; unprocessed food! This change will most likely NOT just happen overnight, so take your time, having cooked foods is okay just have ones that are less processed &amp; that are as natural as possible.</p>
<p>— Focus on having fruit as your breakfast! Or a smoothie! In a blender just blend together a couple of bananas, a bit of water, a handful of leafy greens like spinach, maybe an apple and/or a tablespoon of a supplement like a green powder and/or a healthy oil like hemp oil. http://BLEND.life-regenerator.com</p>
<p>— Consuming primarily high-water fruits &amp; vegetables + walking + resting are THE BEST things that one can do to lose weight both quickly &amp; healthfully!</p>
