What is the Glycemic Index??? Advanced Nutrition

What is the glycemic index and how do you use it? How do you read a glycemic index chart? What is a glycemic index diet and how

can it help you lose weight? What are the high glycemic foods and the low glycemic foods? What does all this have to do with

weight loss and diabetes?

    You know what would …
You know what would be a good videos series would be you taking us the viewer on a weeks grocery trip, or on several grocery trips…When I go to the grocery store there is so much chaos that I don’t feel I have more than a few seconds to look at what I want to get,,because there is someone trying to get by or..the persons working there think I’m being a nuisance..so it can be hard to go someplace and look around..for those reasons..

    The glycemic index …
The glycemic index tells you how quickly a carbohydrate-containing food turns into sugar, but it doesnt tell you how much carbohydrate is in a serving of a food. To assess the full impact of a food on blood sugar levels you should have an idea of both. This is where glycemic load comes in. Great presentation again, but it would have been nice for you to incorporate the glycemic load vs the G.I index.
