exercise, nutrition, and weight loss!?
November 9th, 2009 | by admin |I want to lose weight, and not just weight really I want to become healthier and more in shape. My whole family has a large frame and when you see me, you would never think I was fat, but I’ve been an athlete my whole life and recently I’ve slowed down and become less active. I guess I can’t seem to get myself motivated, but does anyone have advice on good food to eat and good exercises to do? I can read a million magazines and see jenny craig on tv but I’d rather get advice I know works that I don’t have to pay for! Thanks a lot!

Healthy diet and exercise are essential.
1) Have a healthy and balanced permanent diet: dark green vegetables, fresh fruits, whole wheat and whole grain products, non-fat dairy products, fish, poultry breast, lean red meat, egg white.
You should cut out all sugar, soda, non-whole grain products and saturated fats: These aliments should only be a reward for achieving a goal, not a habit!
Get list of calories in food from the following link:

2) Start exercising
Aerobic and weight training will raise your metabolic rate. In result, your body will burn more calories.
* aerobic exercising
3 times per week, conduct an exercise that keeps your heart rate elevated for at least 30-45 minutes (ex: walking, running, cycling, swimming, aerobics, etc: check out following link for more details about good weight loss exercise choices
http://www.weight-loss-choice.com/Exercise_and_Diet.html
* weight training
Alternate days of aerobics with weight training. You will build muscles that will burn more calories, even when at rest!
The only way to lose weight is to lose fat proportionately from your entire body by burning more calories than you consume. So making healthy food choices and exercise is my suggestion.
Hope this answer helps.
Take care,
